Baseball Craps was designed to be a fun game to enhance the experience of watching a baseball game.
It provides a platform to use your baseball knowledge to outsmart your friends and other players. It is obviously analogous to Casino Craps and thus gambling, and we hope all players will play responsibly. It is our objective to make the game as fair as possible by structuring the game to give any player an acceptable chance of winning, while rewarding players who can skillfully optimize a winning strategy.
If you watch baseball through a streaming service and/or watch out-of-market games, you may find that updates on the Baseball Craps app occur before the plays happen on your television. Déjà Vu Sports must update plays as fast as possible after the live event. Therefore, for the optimal gaming experience, we recommend that you play Baseball Craps while watching local or nationally televised baseball games through your local cable provider.
The outcomes resulted in the Odds Rules table that can be found in the app Menu and are described below. However, as new data becomes available through actual Baseball Craps gameplay, we will update the odds to most accurately reflect real life probabilities.
HOW TO PLAY
General
Baseball Craps is a game where each player will accrue points based on the recurrence of specific plays during a half inning of a live baseball game. Déjà Vu Sports reserves sole rights to this patent pending method of live sports gaming.
Each half inning will begin with the baseball shaped button in the OFF position
COMPARISON TO CASINO CRAPS
Baseball Craps is very similar to easiest parts of Casino Craps, with the dice simply being
replaced with plays of a live baseball game.
In a typical Craps game, the button would start in the OFF position for a new roller and a point number would be established by their roll. The button would then be placed ON that number and the Pass Line bet would win if that number is rolled again before a “crap out seven”. In Baseball Craps, the button starts in the OFF position at the beginning of every half inning (which is every time the teams switch fielding vs batting). Chips must be placed on the Pass Line before the first player has approached the plate for their at bat. The result of that at bat will determine which of the 6 Target Plays the button is moved ON to (Strikeout, Walk, Fly Out, Hit, Infield Fly, Ground Out) and the Pass Line bet will win if that type of play occurs before the end of the inning. Any play that does not fit one of these categories (namely, Player Reaching on an Error) is an automatic Pass Line loss, like rolling a 2,3 or 12 on a come out roll.
Come Line bets work just like in Casino Craps, as in they are the same as Pass Line bets, but occur after the button is already in the ON position.
Pass Line and Come Line odds work similarly to Casino Craps but have some restrictions. Please see the ODDS section above to see the specific rules.
Think of the First To Home and 8 Ways bets as similar to inside bets on the Craps table like the hard ways or The Field.
The First To Home bet is active when a player is on first base. The bet is that the player will reach home rather than be left stranded on base or called out. The bet is specific to the player on first base when the bet is placed. If a new player reaches first and the original player is still on base, another bet can be placed for the new runner on first. A winning bet will be awarded 1 point for every point that is bet.
The 8 Ways bet is active for each new batter as they start their at bat. The bet is that the player will reach base, as there are 8 Ways possible to do so (Hit, Walk, Hit By Pitch, Fielder’s Choice, Reach on an Error, Strikeout with Pass Ball, Catcher’s Interference, Fielder’s Interference). The bet is specific to the player at bat when the bet is placed. If a player is intentionally walked, the bet is NULL and the chips will be returned. A winning bet will be awarded 1 point for every point that is bet.
Notable Differences:
There are no placed bets in Baseball Craps, meaning that you can’t bet specific outcomes of upcoming at bats.
There are no automatic wins when the button is OFF.
RULES
Hit By Pitch = Walk
Catchers Interference = Walk
Single, Double, Triple, HR = Hit
Fielder’s Choice = Ground Out
Fielding Error = NULL, except when button is OFF
Scoring & Prizes
All scoring is points based and points have no monetary value.
Déjà Vu Sports LLC is committed to treating our users fairly. No user will ever be given special treatment, no points will be awarded outside of the game, and all odds are intended to keep the game fun, challenging and fair. It is our objective to make the game as fair as possible by choosing odds that will give any player an acceptable chance of winning, while rewarding players who can skillfully optimize a winning strategy. The odds for this game were determined by simulating a sample of over 100,000 plays from past Major League baseball innings/games. The results were rounded to the more standard “odds” payouts that can be found in the Odds Rules table. However, as new data becomes available through actual Baseball Craps gameplay, we will update the odds to most accurately reflect real life.
Our commitment to fairness extends to our users as well. We expect our users to play the game as intended and cheating will not be tolerated. If you expect a user of cheating, please report them to admin@dejavusports.com and their gameplay will be reviewed. Any player found cheating will be removed from the platform.
